What can you say about this one?

Monday, October 20, 2008

We went to the SC State Fair on October 16th. This was our second time to the fair and Ethan's first time. However, this was our first time riding the rides. We had a blast! We were just tall enough to start riding them. Next year we should be able to ride a few more. As you can see by the picture below, we don't take up a lot of space.

Daddy's girls.

This horse was from the Aiken Mounted Patrol.

Preparing to have fun.

The girls were in the last car of the dragon.

Ethan is licking good ole' mashed potatoes off of his lips.

Ethan is having fun in his bathtub.

The girls' daycare class took a trip to a Pumkin Patch. Ashlyn was having fun.
Anna was having fun too.
Ashlyn was trying to lift a big pumkin.
This is Anna.
As you can see, Ethan wasn't as excited about Krispy Kreme as the girls were.
This was the girls' first trip to Krispy Kreme. They were wired after that.
Here is Ethan with Reynolds. Ethan got a kick out of watching him.

Anna, Ashlyn and Ethan have a new cousin. James Houston Blackburn. He was born on September 10th weighing in at 7lbs 11oz.
Cousin Aubrey had a great birthday party. It was a princess party. We all had our hair, nails and makeup done.

What a wet head!

That fishy has teeth.
Our grandma sure is fun.

It's been a tough year. On July 17th, Great grandpa Phipps went home to see the Lord. He got to see GGma and Papa. We will miss our GGpa.

Since Father's Day is this weekend, we thought we would put one of daddy's favorite pictures of us on the blog.

We had fun at Edventure. Ethan enjoyed it so much that he slept the entire three hours we were there. Mom and dad appreciated that.
We went to Edventure for the first time and had a blast.

In case you haven't heard, Grandpa (or Papa as the girls called him) spent Easter 2008 in heaven with Jesus. Grandpa took his last breathe on earth March 22nd around 8pm. He will no longer have to deal with the pains of cancer. Fortunately, he was able to see the girls and Ethan the night before he died. All three of them brought a smile to his face. The three pictures below are from his last trip to Columbia to see Ethan for the very first time. Grandpa will be missed. We love you, Papa!

It has been a while since we have updated the girls' blog. Things have been a little busy around here. In order to view the postings in chronological order, click on the March(11) on the right hand side. This will bring up all the new postings. Go to the bottom of the page and scroll up. We would like to our Lord for blessing our family. We would also like to thank Him for giving us so many wonderful years with Great Grandma Phipps. Thanks for visiting
This was the day Ethan came home. Isn't he just the cutest little brother.
What is there to say about this one?
We announced his coming in an earlier posting, but here he is. Ethan James Pearce Blackburn arrived Monday March 3, 2008 at 7:43am. Weighing in at 8lbs 7oz and 19 3/4 in long. He was bigger than both of us put together. If you remember, we were only 3lbs 9oz and 3lbs 11oz. We love him very much. We are so glad he is here.
This is our cousin Emma the night of her birthday party. She is so much fun. Grandma, thanks for the red hats.
This is our cousins Kensen and Aubrey. We love when they come to visit.
This is our second cousin from Idaho. His name is Ryker. He gave us potatoes for our birthday. Just Kidding.
Can you believe we are three already? This was our birthday party that we had at a farm. We got to ride a pony, play with a bunch of animals, and take a hay ride. Boy, did we have fun!
This is our Great Grandpa the day of our Great Grandma's funeral.
This is our Great Grandma. This is daddy's mom's mother. The Lord called her home on January 20th, 2008. We would like to thank Corbin & Megan Crittenden for keeping us that weekend so daddy could be with her when she took her last breathe here on earth.
